Welcome to the admission process. Our goal is to make it a positive experience and we are ready to guide and mentor you the entire way. To allow us to consider you for admission to CHS, we ask you to submit the items outlined below.
Simply click the “Apply Now” button at the top of the page and follow the instructions. Complete one form per applicant and remit the non-refundable application fee of $100.00 per applicant.
All applicants are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). All tests will be administered at CHS, although testing registration and fees must be completed online at www.erblearn.org. The school code number to register for the assessment will be available from the Director of Admission once the application is submitted.
Teacher Recommendation Forms
Copy and send the forms to the student’s current school to be completed by the appropriate teacher(s).Completed forms should be mailed to Admission at Christian Heritage School (P.O. Box 2066, Dalton, Ga, 30722-2066) or faxed (706-277-2300) to Christian Heritage School.
Transcript/Authorization -Release of Records
Print the form from our website, complete and sign the form, and send it to the student’s current school requesting that the students’ records be mailed to Christian Heritage School. Records required include transcript of grades, standardized test scores, copy of birth certificate, social security number, discipline report (or a signed statement by a school official that the student does not have a discipline report) and health documents (Certificate of Immunization Form 3231, and Eye, Ear, Dental Examination Form 3300). Forms can be mailed to Admission at Christian Heritage School (P.O. Box 2066, Dalton, Ga 30722-2066) or faxed (706-277-2300) to Christian Heritage School.
Admission Open House
Parents will be required to attend the Admission Open House or a Parent Orientation prior to enrolling their child. Open House is scheduled for Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 2:00pm-4:00pm. If you would like to schedule a separate school tour, please contact Elizabeth Hardaway in the Admission Office at 706-277-1198, ext. 130.
At the conclusion of the Admission Open House or Parent Orientation, the parents will be given a questionnaire to determine their understanding of and commitment to the education offered their child at CHS. They will bring the completed questionnaire to the family interview.
A final requirement before acceptance is a family interview which will be scheduled by the Director of Admission and conducted at CHS with at least one administrator and one faculty admission team member.
When all admission requirements have been met, the applicant’s file will be sent to the Admission Committee for consideration. A decision regarding acceptance or denial will then be made and parents will be notified by email.
An acceptance email will include instructions on how to log-in and accept our online Financial Agreement. For a student to be officially enrolled, the Financial Agreement must be electronically signed before the deadline specified in the acceptance email. No guarantee of admission can be given if required documentation is received after the deadline. By signing the Financial Agreement, you are committing to pay and will be charged for the first semester. The parents’ signature in the Financial Agreement also signifies that the parents and the student (if applicable) have read and agree to abide by the rules and policies in the Parent/Student Handbook.
