Christian Heritage School Application Process for International Students
1. Submit an Application Online
Complete the online application found on our website, www.chslions.com. Under the admission tab select “Apply Now.” This will take you to Create an Account. Once you create an account, you will select the International Homestay Application for the appropriate school year. When you are finished with your application, pay the $100.00 application fee online.
2. Submit Documents
Please submit the following items to Christian Heritage
• a picture of yourself
• Academic transcripts from the last two years
• Any scores from Standardized test scores you have taken (TOEFL, TOEFL Jr., iTEP/SLATE, etc)
• a copy of your passport
3. SKYPE Interview
After we have received all of your documents, we will contact you to set up an hour interview with our International Director and Upper School principal. No preparation is required for the interview. Just relax and be yourself.
4. Sign Enrollment Contract and Pay Tuition
After being accepted to CHS, complete and return the enrollment contract and pay a tuition deposit of $3,000.00. Within a week of receiving payment, you will receive your I-20. This will allow you to obtain a visa to study in the United States. It will be delivered to you via FedEx.
5. Get Your Visa
Schedule an appointment with your local United States Consulate and obtain your F-1 student visa. Submit a copy of your visa to CHS once you have obtained your visa. This is a helpful site explaining all you need to do in order to obtain a student visa- here
6. Submit Travel Details
Purchase your airplane tickets to arrive in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport or in Atlanta, Georgia at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport a week before the beginning of a January or August start date (you will be given these dates). Your host family, along with the International Director, will be there at the airport welcome you to the United States.
