The Guidance Office seeks to assist students and parents with both academic and personal issues. Contacts are strictly confidential unless the student or parent(s) request that the information be shared. The exceptions to this guideline are threats to self or others and reports of abuse or neglect.
Some specific areas covered by the Guidance Office are academic issues or concerns, social and emotional issues or concerns, referrals to other professionals as deemed appropriate, college admissions information, college recommendations, scholarship and financial aid information, testing (SAT & ACT) information and prep opportunities, and college fair information. The Guidance Office is also responsible for standardized testing, admissions testing, and kindergarten developmental screening.
